Des
O'Connor
Des is the Founder and Chairman of Trailer Resources Ltd. Following huge success in the transport industry with senior roles at Crane Fruehauf, Montracon, and SDC UK, Des decided to start a family business, harnessing his experience, skills, and connections to turn TRL into a resounding success, celebrating 25 years in business in 2018.
Today, Des offers strategic support and insight to the TRL senior management team.
Barry
O'Connor
Barry is the Managing Director of TRL. After starting his career as a successful and talented mobile trailer mechanic, Barry put his skills and invaluable experience to good use in the family business, joining TRL in the early nineties.
Today, Barry manages daily operations while developing business opportunities to ensure the future is bright for the expanding family business.
Ryan
Jones
Ryan is the Group Sales Director at TRL. Des’ grandson, Ryan, joined the family business as part of an extended work experience programme, gaining on-site practical experience within the company while completing an NVQ. Ryan soon moved into a sales management role with TRL, developing the company’s business opportunities and relationships.
Today, Ryan serves as the Group Sales Director and is responsible for the success of the core TRL sales team.
Joanne Rowland
Joanne Rowland is the Group Finance Director at TRL. Following successful roles at RSM UK and Miniclipper Logistics, Joanne joined the team in 2021 as a Finance Manager, providing invaluable support for our day-to-day operations.
Today, Joanne is our Group Finance Director, responsible for the financial management of our business operations.
Gary Lay
Gary Lay is the Operations Director at TRL. Following success at DX Group PLC and A&R Vehicle Services LTD, we welcomed Gary to the team in November 2021.
He oversees all operations within TRL and is a core team member, offering strategic guidance to all sectors within the company.
